Product overview
     DGT801 Series Digital Generator-transformer Unit Protection Device is applicable for fossil-fired or hydropower generator-transformer unit with the capacity of no more than 1000MW and the voltage class of no higher than 750kV and various wiring connection, and also applicable for protection for generator, main transformer, station transformer, HV start-up & stand-by transformer, excitation transformer (exciter), large synchronous condenser and electromotor, meeting the requirements of automation system in the power plant.
    DGT801A, DGT801B, DGT801C, DGT801D, DGT801E, DGT801F, as the serial products of DGT801, the modes of their hardware and software are absolutely the same. The only differences are the number of hardware resources and LCD size on the cabinet. Please refer to the appendix for more details. Highly reliable parallel processing technology with double power and double CPUs is adopted in them, with advanced structure, good performance, personalized debugging and maintenance, as well as reliable and safe service.
    The protection software of the DGT801A, B, C, D, E and F are absolutely the same, and completely modular, solidifying all the protections necessary for the unit in the programmable chips. By means of flexible configuration by graphic definition software, the DGT801 series devices will satisfy the configuration requirements for protection of generator-transformer units of various sizes.

 Double CPUs parallel processing mode
    The hardware structures of the protection system with double powers and double CPUs are two systems which are absolutely the same but mutually exclusive. Each CPU system owns an independent power module, which realizes a separate circuit system; the parallel processing technique with a organic unity of highly reliable double CPUs, perfect self-check and mutual check function and reliable fault tolerant technique avoids the phenomena of error operation and refusing operation successfully.

n the signal outputs reflects the action status in the complete set of protector visually; protective clip plate (soft clip plate) and output clip plate are set separately with clear status indication;

n complete visualization in the protector, with friendly human-machine interface, true-color liquid crystal display on big screen, rich display content of Chinese presentation, touch screen or touch mouse action.
 Powerful communication function
    It is equipped with RS-485 port, 100M Ethernet network
n communication port, to communicate with DCS or special management system in the power plant, upward the relevant information and messages; supports the communication protocols of IEC60870-5-103 and MODBUS as well as DGT801 custom communication protocol; provides networking operation management system based on WINDOWS, which is to be switched in MIS system in the power plant. It is equipped with powerful fault wave record function, with the wave data compatible with IEEE COMTRADE standard format.
 GPS time-setting methods: external idle
n contact time-setting, absolute time-setting message in RS-485 and absolute time-setting message in monitoring system.
