As the cradle and the forerunner of China electric power automation and protection industry,  the history of SAC is the abstract of  power industry history of China. In the past decades, SAC has been engaging in the R&D and manufacture of:
-Electric power automation and protection, substation automation system, power stability control system, dispatch automation and EMS system, distribution network automation management system and digital substation automation, etc.;
-Power plant automation and protection, information management,energy saving and emission reduction, etc.;
-Hydropower plant automation and protection, automatic supervision and prediction of water situations for hydropower plant, reservoir basin and river basin; dispatch automation of power grid and cascade reservoir; automatic monitoring system of environment, water quality, urban flood prevention information management&forecast; monitoring&control system of reservoir dam, etc.;
-Power supply automation system for electric railway and/or urban rail transit, industrial automatione system , image transmission and monitoring system for industrial untilities; and, electric instruments and meters.
